Being a bus driver is not an easy job, whoever said it was, is a liar. There are so many things to keep in mind: doors, tickets, traffic, passengers and their needs, routes. Bus Simulator 2017 will allow you to experience all of that and more!
The graphics are really nice and realistic, but the modelling could be better since we are talking about a professional game.
The gameplay consists mostly of driving around town picking up passengers while trying to stay on time; it doesn’t really break from the routine save from few times when it makes you get up from your seat to unblock a door that got stuck or aid a passenger in buying a ticket. The controls are responsive but you might find yourself having to turn the break sensitivity up since crashing into a car costs you reputation points. At the end of the day, you get the next set of goals you have to reach some of which consist in personalizing your bus, but other than that it’s mostly the same thing over and over again.
Finally, Bus Simulator 2017 is a good game if you want to kill some time, but it won’t really challenge you or get your blood pumping. It puts a lot of effort into being realistic, to the point where it, paradoxically and ironically, becomes unrealistic with the lack of variety, the number of tasks that cost you reputation points if done wrong, and its calm.
